  1. Animal Services

    The Pitt County Animal Shelter provides a shelter for stray animals and owner turn in animals which can either be placed up for adoption or euthanized.

  2. Buildings & Grounds

    The Buildings and Grounds Department provides repair and maintenance services to all county government properties.

  3. Clerk to the Board

    The Clerk to the Board is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners.

  4. Cooperative Extension Service

    The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service is an out-of-school approach to extend the technology and research of North Carolina State University and A&T State University.

  5. County Manager's Office

    The Manager's office is charged with handling the day-to-day operations of County Government and works closely with the Pitt County Board of Commissioners.

  6. Council on Aging

    The Pitt County Council on Aging, Inc. is a licensed 501 (c) 3 non-profit agency that is committed to improving the quality of life for older Americans through advocacy, services, life enrichment activities and friendship.
