LEGAL DEPARTMENT

The Legal Department provides in-house legal advice and counsel to the Board of County Commissioners, County Manager and all County Departments on a broad range of issues to ensure compliance with the law. The Legal Department represents the County in all civil litigation by or against the public body, and reviews all of the County’s legal documents. The Legal Department represents the Department of Social Services in all matters relating to protective services for children and adults, and the establishment and collection of child support. The Legal Department does not provide legal services for private citizens.
