Department Mission
The mission of the Pitt County Financial Services Department is to coordinate the financial activity of the County, ensuring effective and prudent management of the County’s financial resources for the citizens of Pitt County, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, the North Carolina General Statutes and other state, local and federal regulations.
Service Description
Fiscal management duties include general accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, accounts receivable, cash management, investments and debt management.
The department also manages fixed asset inventory controls, the budgetary process, grants management, assists with strategic planning, cost/benefit analysis and evaluation of County policies and procedures.
Location
Financial Services is located on the first floor of the Pitt County Administration Building at 1717 West Fifth Street (also known as Hwy 43 North).
