Pitt County believes accountability and continuous improvement are essential elements for management. As such, these principles have guided the County's development of the Performance Measurement project over the past several years.
Initially begun in 1996-97 with a few departments participating in the inaugural year of identifyng annual objectives, the project has grown each successive year. Additional departments were brought into the process of identifying and reporting their objectives for the upcoming year and summarizing accomplishments from the previous year.
