Pitt County Government

Pitt County has a full time deputy employed to patrol the County for illegal dumping and littering. The Pitt County Environmental Enforcement Officer responds to illegal dumping complaints that are located within Pitt County, as well as roadside litter prevention.

Illegal Dumping can result in:

  • Three (3) years in jail
  • Confiscation of vehicle
  • Penalties up to $2,000
  • Three (3) times cost of cleanup

All loads coming into the Transfer Station must be covered.
Uncovered Loads:

  • $100 first offense
  • $200 second offense
  • $400 subsequent offense
