Need Assistance Covering Your Energy Bills?

The Pitt County Department of Social Services will take applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program, Monday through Friday, November 2, through November 13 from 8:00a to 5:00p at its offices located at 1717 W. 5th Street in Greenville.

This program is intended to help low income households with heating costs. Checks will be issued to eligible households in February 2010.

* DSS offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in observance of Veterans Day.
