SUCCESS Software Information

Pitt County Department of Social Services' SUCCESS is a PC-based software program used to assist in child care case management. Due to limited funds for additional manpower and the expanding subsidized child care program, Pitt County developed this application to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy. Winner of a 1997-98 Ralph W. Ketner Productivity Award, the system is now in use in several counties throughout North Carolina. In 2006 Success was re-written in VB.Net and is now called SuccessNet. It can be used against a SQL Server 2000 or Access XP database. Note that if you have not upgraded from SUCCESS to SuccessNet, you must first contact Pitt County and receive an upgrade CD. After that CD has been installed following the upgrade instructions, you will need to download apply each of the updates listed below in order. Note that the instructions for applying each update are different, as some updates involve database changes, and some do not. The updates are not cumulative. A list of enhancements included in each update is provided below. See the links below for more information. Success Becomes SuccessNet - updated 4/17/2008 Download the 3/6/2007 SuccessNet 1.3.0.1 update (6,826 KB KB zip file) Download the new application form 08/21/07 Word document. Contains New, Redetermination, and Update checkboxes now required by the state. The application form: SuccessNet does not currently update these checkboxes, but they will appear on the form and may be manually checked in Word prior to printing, or by hand after printing.
