Resources and Financing

Additionally, the Pitt County EMS System is very resource rich in terms the number of stations and amount of apparatus dedicated to the provision of ambulance based patient care and transport services. Unfortunately, the pressure to seek fiscal self sufficiency without continued reliance on tax subsidy has burdened the system over the last few years and new and innovative financing measures are actively being sought to assure the system is capable of meeting the needs of its constituent users in the foreseeable future.

Ambulance Stations

The EMS Division of Pitt County Emergency Management directly operates two ambulance stations and one Quick Response Vehicle (QRV). PCEMS initiated services in 2002 and continues to proudly serve the citizens Pitt County today. Always willing to serve and eager to interact with our community, PCEMS invites you to visit our station locations and our professional life savers.

Staff

Licensed by the State of North Carolina at the Paramedic level, the staff is comprised of full and part time paramedics as well as a number of EMT Intermediate and EMT Basic staff. Division managers include two full time staff members who are credentialed as paramedics.
