The Pitt County Community Schools and Recreation Department is dedicated to maximizing the utilization of human, physical, and financial resources with the cooperative efforts of other agencies and organizations in order to impact the quality of life for all citizens in Pitt County.

Reaching Out To Serve and Connect The Community.

The County Home Complex for Pitt County (PDF) includes:
  • Animal Shelter
  • Eastern Carolina Village and Farm Museum
  • Farmers’ Market
  • Making Pitt Fit Community Garden
  • Recycling Center
  • Senior Center
  • Two elementary schools
  • Alice F. Keene District Park with the Community Schools and Recreation Center
Encompassing collaborative resources for physical activity, nutrition, education, county heritage, pet adoption and recycling, the Complex is a major destination point for all citizens. The Complex is included in the City of Greenville Greenway plan and will be connected to the network with adjacent property development. This connectivity will provide access to additional healthy living opportunities.

  1. Greenville/Pitt County Senior Games

    The Greenville/Pitt County Senior Games will take place April 18-29, 2017. Registration deadline is March 24, 2017. Interested participants must be at least 50 years old to participate. For further information you can visit www.ncseniorgames.org.
