GIS

The Planning Department utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create and maintain map layers or files of Pitt County. GIS programs such as ArcGIS, ArcPro and ESRI suite of products are the software programs being utilized for mapping and analysis. In addition to producing and updating maps, the Department has access to aerial imagery for detailed analysis of Pitt County for various projects.
