[ARCHIVED] Proposed Schedule of Values

The proposed Schedule of Values to be used in appraising all real property in Pitt County effective January 1, 2016, have been submitted to the Pitt County Board of Commissioners. It is available for public inspection in the Pitt County Manager's Office at 1717 W. 5th Street, the Pitt County Tax Assessor's Office at 110 S. Evans Street, and the Tax Administration web page.

A public hearing will be held on the proposed Schedule of Values on August 17, 2015, at 6:00p in the Eugene James Auditorium, 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, NC 27834.

What is the Schedule of Values?
The Schedule of Values is a uniform schedule of values, standards, and rules to be used in appraising real property at its true value and at its present use value. The Schedule of Values is prepared to enable those making appraisals to adhere to them in appraising real property. The goal of revaluation is to arrive at fair market value. Uniformity in real property appraisal is achieved through the adherence of the Schedule of Values utilized by Tax Administration appraisers.
