Health Department Now Offering Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccinations

Pitt County Health Department Now Offering Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccinations 

COVID-19 vaccine appointments available for children ages 6 months and older 

 

PITT COUNTY, N.C. – The Pitt County Health Department, located at 201 Government Circle, Greenville, N.C., is now offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 6 months to 11 years.  The Pfizer vaccine for children is a two-dose vaccine.  The second dose is given at least 21 days after the first dose.   

 

The Health Department also offers the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for individuals who are 12 years of age and older.  The Moderna vaccine is also a two-dose vaccine.  The second dose is given at least 28 days after the first dose.  

 

A parent or legal guardian must accompany children during appointments.

 

Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are still available for adults needing a first, second, or booster dose.  The Pitt County Health Department administers COVID-19 vaccines on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by appointment or walk-ins from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
