[ARCHIVED] Request for Proposals: Recycling Services

Request for Proposals:  Recycling Services

Pitt County Government is seeking to enter into an agreement with a materials recycler for disposal and compensation for its mixed recycle stream.   The County intends to select the best fit provider for its interest.  The County values the following items in making its selection:   cost of processing, value of the material collected, cost certainty and protection from swings processing or material values, service provided (hours of operation/drop off time for County haulers) including uptime of the processing facility, maximization of the utilization of the County’s commodities (the processor should be looking to gain as much value from the recycle stream as possible) and capacity of processor to handle growth in the County’s recycle stream. This list does not limit the County’s ability to consider other factors.  Proposals must be submitted electronically to John Demary, Solid Waste and Recycling Director at John.Demary@pittcountync.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023.  The bid packet is available for download at www.PittCountyNC.gov/Bids
