Town of Grifton Water Advisory Rescinded

Testing results reveal negative sample results

 

PITT COUNTY, N.C. – The Department of Environmental Quality announced the previously issued System Pressure Advisory for the Town of Grifton has been rescinded as a result of coliform negative sample results.  

 

The advisory went into effect Friday, March 17, 2023 prompting the North Carolina Public Health recommendation, as a precaution, that water for human consumption (food, drinking, brushing of teeth, etc.) be boiled for one minute before use.  Alternatively, bottle water may be used.
