Pitt Area Transit System Fare Increase for Rural General Public Riders
Increases to become effective July 1, 2023
PITT COUNTY, N.C. – Pitt Area Transit System (PATS) announces the Board of County Commissioners approved a fare increase for Rural General Public (RGP) riders on April 3, 2023.
Effective July 1, 2023, the fare for RGP riders will increase from $7.00 per one way trip to $9.00 per one way trip for Pitt Area Transit System. Round trip fares will increase from $14.00 to $18.00.
“The last rate increase was approved in 2011. The new rate will aid in keeping the transportation system sustainable,” says Cam Coburn, Director, Pitt Area Transit System.
