Pitt County Celebrates National Farmers Market Week
Awareness efforts and activities planned August 4-12, 2023
PITT COUNTY, N.C. – National Farmers Market Week is devoted to the recognition and awareness of the positive impact farmers markets have on the health and well-being of their local communities. Activities for the Leroy James Farmers Market August 4 – 12, 2023 include:
Community Awareness: Banners will be displayed at the Leroy James Farmers Market, 4560 County Home Road as well as the Pitt Soil and Water Conservation office at 403 Government Circle, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
Digital Campaign: Updates and previews will be posted throughout the week on the Market Facebook page www.facebook.com/LJFarmersMarket.
Social Experiment: Picture frame magnets will be given to visitors throughout the month while supplies last. Recipients are asked to post pictures of their market experience using the hashtag #MeetMeAtTheMarket.
Ice Cream: Simply Natural Creamery will be onsite Saturday, August 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
