Public Notice: Intent to Award a Contract to CDP for Mobile Environmental Health Reporting Software
It is Pitt County Government’s (hereafter referred to as “PCG”) intent to contract with Custom Data Processing, Inc. (hereafter referred to as “CDP”) for mobile environmental health reporting software. The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will consider a waiver of competitive bidding under NCGS 143-129(g) at its regular meeting on October 16, 2023 in the Eugene James Auditorium, Pitt County Administration Building, located at 1717 West 5th Street, Greenville, N.C. Custom Data Processing has agreed to the same or more favorable prices and terms resulting from a contract established by Pamlico County Health Department (hereafter referred to as “PCH”) of Bayboro, North Carolina.
Per North Carolina General Statue 143-129(g) allows municipalities, counties, or other subdivisions to piggyback for supplies, materials, or equipment (not services) from another entity that has within the previous 12 months, completed a formal bid process, to purchase similar supplies, materials, or equipment if agreed upon by the vendor. Piggybacking requires Board approval and advertisement of intent to award.
