The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 19, 2016, at or after 6:00pm regarding proposed amendments to the Pitt County Zoning Ordinance. This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium on second floor of the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C.
The proposed amendments include regulations for recreational vehicles and recreational vehicle parks, a definition of “tiny houses”, increasing the distance for mailed notifications for public hearings from 100 feet to 500 feet, and also increasing the period of time before zoning, special use, and conditional use permits automatically expire from six months to one year.
The purpose of this public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendments prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
