[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Public Hearing on Pitt County Zoning Ordinance

Pitt County Zoning Ordinance - Conditional Use Permit

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 9, 2017, at or after 9:00am regarding a request for a Conditional Use Permit. This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium on the second floor of the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C.

The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Harvest Greenville I, LLC requesting a Conditional Use Permit as required in the Rural Agricultural district for the operation of a solar energy facility (i.e., “solar farm”). The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 01489 and is owned by Ronnie Dail. The property is located on the western side of SR 1207 (Nash Joyner Road) north of its intersection with US 13 in the Arthur Township. Citizens interested in obtaining additional information on this Conditional Use Permit request should contact the Pitt County Planning Department, 252-902-3250.

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the Conditional Use Permit request prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners. Those persons unable to attend the hearing may submit written questions or comments to the Clerk to the Board before the meeting.
