[ARCHIVED] Pitt County DSS Announces Amnesty Days Event

Important news for individuals with an outstanding arrest warrant for back child support payments; the Pitt County Department of Social Services Child Support Services is here to help!

Pitt County DSS will be hosting Amnesty Days on July 25-27, 2017. During this event, individuals will be able to discuss their case directly with a child support agent; and by providing just ONE month’s payment, will have their Order of Arrest rescinded with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office. No attendees will be arrested during this event.

During Amnesty Days, agents will also be available to assist with debt forgiveness, employment assistance, and the Life of North Carolina-Fatherhood program. Pitt County DSS wants individuals facing arrest to know that negotiation and resolution are possible, and strongly encourage them to take advantage of Amnesty Days to get back on track in a judgment and penalty-free environment.

Amnesty Days will be held on July 25-27, 2017 from 9:00am-6:00pm at the Human Services Center, located at 203 Government Circle, Greenville, NC.

For more information interested individuals can contact Child-Support Services at 252-902-1300.
