The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 8, 2018, at or after 9:00am regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map. This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C.
The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from DPD Properties II, LLC requesting that a portion of their property be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to General Industrial (Conditional District) (GI(CD)) to allow a debris washout area for the existing concrete plant located on the property. The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 03113 and is located on the eastern side of SR 1402 (Barrus Construction Road), south of its intersection with NC 33. The subject property is 73.30 acres, of which 2.96 acres are proposed for rezoning. The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
