On January 8, 2018, pursuant to NCGS §153A-195, the Pitt County Board of Commissioners confirmed the Woodmoor Subdivision Road Improvements Assessment Roll and directed the Tax Collector to publish a notice as per NCGS §153A-196.
The total cost of the road improvements, $106,627, has been assessed by the Board equally among the 21 benefited properties in the Woodmoor subdivision in the amount of $5,077.51 per parcel. The assessment can be paid in full to the Pitt County Tax Collector Office without interest at any time prior to February 27, 2018. In lieu of a lump sum payment in full, ten annual installments of $507.75 can be paid by the property owners to the Tax Collector Office. Beginning with the 2018 Pitt County property tax bill and appearing on each annual property tax bill through the 2027 tax bill, the annual installment will be included for these properties on each annual July tax bill created by Pitt County Tax Administration, and can be paid in full without interest if paid by the following January 5.
