The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 23, 2018, at or after 6:00pm. regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map. This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C.
The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Bill Clark Homes of Greenville, LLC requesting that a portion of properties owned by Umberto G. Fontana be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to Suburban Residential (SR). The subject properties are identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Numbers 17729 and 36305 and are located on the northern side of NC 33 East, east of its intersection with SR 1759 (Tucker Road). The subject properties are 85.12 acres, of which 67.50 acres are proposed for rezoning. The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
