[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment - Alex Pinestraw and Mulch

 The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 23, 2018, at or after 6:00pm. regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map. This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C. 

The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Joana Portillo requesting that a portion of property owned by Alia Mobile Home Park, LLC be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (Conditional District) (GC(CD)) to expand an existing pinestraw and mulch business (Alex Pinestraw and Mulch). The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 82245 and is located on the eastern side of SR 1725 (County Home Road), north of its intersection with SR 1736 (McLawhorn Farm Road). The subject property is 8.66 acres, of which 0.305 acres is proposed for rezoning. Citizens interested in obtaining additional information on the proposed rezoning should contact the Pitt County Planning Department at 252-902-3250.

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners. Those persons unable to attend the hearing may submit written questions or comments to the Clerk to the Board before the meeting.
