Home Repairs

This program provides funds to income eligible households with special needs in addressing housing conditions which pose imminent threats to their life and/or safety, or to provide accessibility modifications.

To Qualify: (1) Must reside within Pitt County but outside the city limits of Greenville; (2) own and occupy the home in need of repair; (3) meet income requirements; and (4) must be identified as a special needs household.

Form of Assistance/ Amount of Forgivable Loan: Assistance to homeowners will be in the form of a forgivable loan. The loan amount will depend on the scope of work necessary to address the identified urgent repair(s) up to a maximum of $8,000.

Applications: Those interested in applying must attend an informational session which will be held on July 28, 2016. Applications are due on September 2, 2016 by 5:00 p.m.
