[ARCHIVED] Mark Nottingham Acquires Certification

Mark Nottingham, Planner I with the Pitt County Planning Department, has recently earned Standard Level 1 Certificates in building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing from the North Carolina Code Officials Qualifications Board. In order to earn these certifications Mark was required to take classes in each trade, gain inspection experience, and pass the state exam for each trade. Level 1 certifications permit him to inspect residential construction as well as 1 story commercial buildings (with size restrictions based on type of use). These certifications will allow Mark to better assist Pitt County Permitting and Inspections, as well as the citizens of Pitt County. Mark’s job responsibilities include: Zoning Administration, Development Review, Coordinated Permitting, and Building Inspections.
