[ARCHIVED] Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers Scheduled to Cease Operation in Pitt County

News_Florence

Due to low applicant turnout and resource needs in other, more heavily impacted regions of the state, the two Mobile Registration Intake Centers (MRIC) currently operating in Pitt County will cease operations after their regularly scheduled times this week.

This means that tomorrow (Wednesday) October 17, 2018 from 9:00am – 6:00pm will be the final day the MRIC’s will be available in Pitt County. All those affected by Hurricane Florence who have not yet registered for assistance, are encouraged to take advantage of this in-person opportunity while it is still available tomorrow.

Please note, registration will still be available online through www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).

As previously noted, the two MRIC locations in Pitt County are:

• Town of Grifton: 6831 Highland Street, Grifton, NC 28530 (Fire Department parking lot)

• Town of Grimesland: 550 River Street, Grimesland, NC 27837
