The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 25, 2019, at or after 6:00 pm. regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map. This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C.
The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Glandon Forest Equity, LLC requesting that a portion of property owned by George Sutton be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (GC). The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 39210, and is located on the northern side of NC 30, southeast of its intersection with NC 903 North in the Carolina Township. The subject property is 0.55 acres, of which 0.141 acres is proposed for rezoning. The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
