[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Pitt County Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 8, 2019, at or after 9:00 am. regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map.  This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C.

The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Baldwin Design Consultants, P.A. requesting that a portion of property owned by Happy Trail Farms, LLC be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (GC).  The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 23939, and is located on the southwestern side of NC 33 West, southeast of its intersection with Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway in the Belvoir Township.  The subject property is 45.28 acres, of which 28.40 acres are proposed for rezoning.  Citizens interested in obtaining additional information on the proposed rezoning should contact the Pitt County Planning Department (252-902-3250).

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
