[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Pitt County Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 18, 2019, at or after 6:00 pm regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map.  This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, NC.

The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Stallings Mini Storage, Inc. requesting that property owned by Eddie C. Stallings, Jr. and Carrie J. Stallings and property owned by William Douglas Roberson and Donna J. White be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (Conditional District) (GC(CD)) to operate an expansion of an existing self-storage warehouse business (Stallings Mini Storage).  The subject properties are identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Numbers 50390 and 51693, and are located on the southern side of SR 1733 (B. Stokes Road), east of its intersection with NC 43 South in the Chicod Township.  The subject properties are 4.78 acres in total, the entirety of which is proposed for rezoning.  Citizens interested in obtaining additional information on the proposed rezoning should contact the Pitt County Planning Department (252-902-3250).

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
