[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Pitt County Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 16, 2019, at or after 6:00 pm regarding a proposed Map Amendment (Rezoning) to the Pitt County Zoning Map.  This hearing will be held in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, NC.

The Pitt County Planning Department is in receipt of a petition from Glandon Forest Equity, LLC requesting that property owned by Mary Johnson Dixon be rezoned from Rural Agricultural (RA) to General Commercial (GC).  The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 66284, and is located on the eastern side of NC 43 South, north of its intersection with SR 1753 (Stokestown-St. Johns Road) in the Chicod Township.  The subject property is 2.77 acres, the entirety of which is proposed for rezoning.  Citizens interested in obtaining additional information on the proposed rezoning should contact the Pitt County Planning Department (252-902-3250).

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendment (Rezoning) prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
