[ARCHIVED] NOTICE: Pitt County Boards and Commissions Meetings for May 2020

In the month of May, the following meetings will be held at their regularly scheduled times in the Eugene James Auditorium, 1717 West Fifth Street, Greenville:

  • Board of County Commissioners:  May 4, 2020, 9:00 AM  •  May 18, 2020, 6:00 PM
  • Board of Equalization and Review:  May 4, 2020, 4:00 PM  •  May 11, 2020, 4:00 PM  •  May 28, 2020, 4:00 PM
  • Social Services Board:  May 12, 2020, 4:00 PM
  • Board of Health:  May 12, 2020, 6:00 PM
  • Planning Board:  May 20, 2020, 5:30 PM
  • Animal Services Advisory Board:  May 27, 2020, 5:30 PM

Due to Governor Cooper’s Executive “Stay At Home” Order, in-person attendance will be limited to no more than 10 essential government staff.  Board Members and additional staff may participate virtually.  All meetings can be viewed by the public on PittTv (Suddenlink Cable Channel 13), or the Pitt County YouTube channel (www.YouTube.com/PittCountyNC).  Members of the public can also call the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners at 252-902-2950 for access to a listen-only option.

For those meetings where public comment is required by law, members of the public wishing to comment may submit written comments to the Pitt County Clerk to the Board via email to Kimberly.hines@pittcountync.gov or via regular mail to the Clerk’s attention at 1717 West Fifth Street, Greenville, NC 27834.  Written comments will be received until two hours prior to the start of the meeting and will be read into the record during the time allotted for public comment.  Additionally, where public comment is required by law, those who wish to speak during the meeting may call the Clerk to the Board at 252-902-2950 up to two hours prior to the meeting to receive instructions on how to participate virtually. Those wishing to speak virtually at the meeting must provide their name, address, and topic to be discussed prior to receiving instructions.  Any questions about this process may be directed to the Clerk to the Board at 252-902-2950.
