(Pitt County) — On October 1, 2020, during their special called meeting, the Industrial Development Commission of Pitt County announced Kelly Andrews as Executive Director of the Commission Andrews graciously accepted this offer.
A member of the (IDC) staff since 2006, Andrews is the principal contact for prospective companies wanting to expand or relocate. She is also involved in the development and creation of marketing materials, including online marketing and social media, and oversees implementation of the Commission’s strategic plan. Andrews holds an M.B.A. degree from East Carolina University, a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a Certified Economic Development Professional (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). She is also included in the 2020 Consultant Connect list of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers in the nation. Kelly was previously employed with the NC Department of Labor – Apprenticeship and Training Bureau as a consultant.
