[ARCHIVED] Health Department Holding Community Flu Shot Clinics in December

(Pitt County) – The Pitt County Health Department will hold community flu shot clinics throughout Pitt County beginning on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 to help reach individuals who find it difficult to receive a vaccine. Receiving a seasonal flu vaccine each year is the best way to protect against getting the flu. This year, a flu vaccination is even more critical. Although flu vaccines will not prevent COVID-19, they can reduce the burden of flu illnesses that result in hospitalizations already impacted by COVID-19.

All community clinics will operate from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the following locations:

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Farmville Community Center, 3886 S. Main St, Farmville, NC

Saturday, December 12, 2020

Awesome Radio, 2531 S. Memorial Dr, Greenville, NC

Monday, December 14, 2020

Pitt County Health Department, 201 Government Circle, Greenville, NC

In addition, any uninsured pregnant women, 19 years and older, being served by a local health department, rural health center or federally qualified health center, in any capacity and persons of any age enrolled in the “Be Smart Family Planning Program” also receiving services at these facilities are eligible to receive VFC flu vaccine.
