Pitt County, in collaboration with the City of Greenville, the Greenville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the NC Department of Transportation, has developed a land use plan that will help guide future growth and development along the NC 43 South highway corridor. The purpose of this public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed NC 43 South Land Use Plan prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners. Additionally, in order to avoid conflicting land use policies within the study area of the NC 43 South Land Use Plan, the Board will consider an amendment to the official Future Land Use Map in the 2030 Pitt County Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
The final draft of the NC 43 South Land Use Plan is available for review at www.pittcountync.gov/NC43SouthPlan. For more information on the plan, please contact Eric Gooby, AICP, Senior Planner with Pitt County Planning and Development at 252-902-3250 or email@example.com. Those persons unable to attend the hearing may submit written questions or comments to the Pitt County Planning Department before the meeting.
