Severe Weather Preparedness Week runs from Sunday, March 7 - Saturday, March 13, 2021. To bring awareness to this effort in 2021, Pitt County Emergency Management (PCEM), in partnership with the Pitt County Health Department (PCHD) and Pitt County Schools (PCS) has scheduled various messaging to be posted throughout the entire week.

Online preparedness messaging, including social media posts and video content containing safety information can be accessed via the following platforms:

Social Media (Facebook):
PCEM @PittCountyEM
PCHD @PittCountyHealthDepartment
PCS @PittCountySchools
(These posts will also be shared on the “@PittCountyNC” Facebook and Twitter pages.)

Website: Visit the Pitt County Severe Weather Preparedness Information page at www.PittCountyNC.gov/READY to obtain helpful information when severe weather strikes.

Banner and PittTv: A 6’ wide vinyl roadside banner announcing the week will also be on display at the County Administrative building in Greenville. In addition to printed materials, informational programming can be viewed on PittTv (Suddenlink Channel 13).

These recognitions serve as part of the ongoing dedication PCEM staff have to keeping residents informed, prepared, and safe in all kinds of inclement weather.
