WIC Program Offers New Way to Communicate With WIC Staff

Teletask two-way health texting resource is now available for local WIC agencies

The WIC program is now offering two-way texting between clients and WIC staff. Clients have the option to opt in or out of this service. If they opt in, WIC appointment reminders will be sent out as a text message. Once the reminder is sent, clients will be able to make appointment changes, ask questions about their benefits or inquire about other services, such as breastfeeding-all by simply texting back.  WIC staff is only available to respond during business hours and data and messaging rates may apply.  In an effort to practice social distancing related to COVID-19, most WIC and Breastfeeding services for both new and current clients continue to be offered by phone. If you, or someone you know, have been affected by job losses, or if you do not have enough food in the home, contact us to see if you qualify.

  • Call us at 252-902-2393 to be guided through the process.
  • If it is more convenient, visit us online at www.nutritionnc.com  and we will contact you.
