[ARCHIVED] Proposed Amendments to the Pitt County Subdivision Ordinance

NOTICE OF HEARINGS

Pitt County Development Ordinance Amendments

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold public hearings on Monday, September 27, 2021, at or after 6:00 pm in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C. to consider the following requests:

 

  • Request by Compute North, LLC to amend the Pitt County Zoning Ordinance to add “Data Processing Facilities” to the Permitted Use Table, including specific development standards and a definition for the proposed use.

 

  • Request by Pitt County to amend the Pitt County Subdivision Ordinance to include a minimum lot width standard and language regarding adjacent property owner notification for major subdivisions being considered by the Planning Board.

 

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed requests prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.  For more information on the proposed amendments, please contact Pitt County Planning and Development at (252) 902-3250.  

 

Members of the public are welcome to attend these hearings in person or participate virtually.  Those persons unable to attend the hearing or participate virtually may submit written questions or comments at least 24 hours before the meeting via email to the Clerk to the Board at Kimberly.Hines@pittcountync.gov or by mailing to: Clerk to the Board, Pitt County, 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, NC 27834.   All meetings can be viewed by the public on PittTv (Suddenlink Cable Channel 13), the Pitt County YouTube channel (www.YouTube.com/PittCountyNC), or one of the official Pitt County Facebook pages.   Members of the public can also call the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners at (252) 902-2950 for instructions on how to participate virtually or to gain access to a listen-only option.
