[ARCHIVED] Public Hearing Notice: Pitt County Zoning Ordinance

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold public hearings on Monday, December 20, 2021, at or after 6:00 pm to consider the following Pitt County Zoning Ordinance requests:

  • Rezoning request by Felipe Garcia Ortiz to rezone 1.71 acres of his property from General Commercial (Conditional District) (GC(CD)) to General Commercial (Conditional District) (GC(CD)) to operate an “Automobile Repair Service”.  The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 01966, and is located on the northeastern corner of the intersection of US 264 East and SR 1564 (Old Washington Road) in the Pactolus Township.
  • Rezoning Request by Tony P. Moore to rezone 4.11 acres from Rural Agricultural (RA) to General Commercial (Conditional District) (GC(CD)) to operate a “Self-storage Warehouse Facility”.  The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 50575, and is located on the eastern side of SR 1124 (Speight Seed Farm Road), on the northern corner of its intersection with SR 1126 (Forlines Road) in the Arthur Township.

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed requests prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.  This meeting will be held Virtually, and members of the public are welcome to attend these hearings in person or participate virtually.   Those persons unable to attend the hearing or participate virtually may submit written questions or comments at least 24 hours before the meeting via email to the Clerk to the Board at Kimberly.Hines@pittcountync.gov or by mailing to: Clerk to the Board, Pitt County, 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, NC 27834.
