NOTICE OF HEARINGS

Pitt County Development Ordinance Amendments

 

The Pitt County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at or after 5:30 p.m. to consider amendments to the Pitt County Subdivision Ordinance to include special purpose septic lot requirements, removal of criminal penalties for violations, exemption of multifamily developments from minimum lot widths, requirements for third party maintenance of conservation easement exemptions for stub out streets, and establishment of a minimum lot width for open space and require that it connect to the right of way. 

 

The purpose of this public hearing is to gather public comment and input on the proposed amendments prior to the Planning Board forwarding a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.  All meetings can be viewed by the public on PittTV (Suddenlink Cable Channel 13) or the Pitt County YouTube channel (www.YouTube.com/PittCountyNC).
