CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful Contractor must be properly licensed to do business within Pitt County and hold a valid NC Landscape Contractor License, a valid NC Irrigation License and a NC Pesticide License with an Aquatic and a Right of Way endorsement. The successful Contractor shall have been in the Lawn Care and Maintenance business for a minimum of five (5) years. The Contractor shall have
a person available during normal business working hours to address any problems or complaints. Full proposal and specifications can be requested from Mr. Edward Bunting.

MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING:
A pre-proposal meeting will begin at the Pitt County Buildings and Grounds at 10:00 a.m. EST on Monday, September 1, 2025. The building is located at: 121 New Hope Road Greenville, NC 27834. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the project and to answer any questions potential Contractors may have. This pre-bid meeting is mandatory. No meetings or tours to review the Scope of Work for the Lawn Care and Maintenance Service will be held individually or separately before or after this preproposal meeting. The pre proposal meeting is MANDATORY to qualify to submit a proposal. Potential Contractors are encouraged to view the facilities subject to this RFP on their own time prior to submitting a proposal. 8/18/25 RFP notices e-mailed and/or mailed to potential Contractors and placed on Pitt County website
9/1/25 Mandatory Pre-proposal meeting. Meeting begins at 10am in the Buildings & Grounds facility located at 121 New Hope Road Greenville, NC. Vendors must sign in.
9/9/25 Last day for questions. Questions must be signed and submitted in writing by 5:00 p.m. Questions should be delivered by e-mail.
9/12/25 Last day Addenda will be posted. All questions will be clarified through an addendum. Addendum will be emailed to all pre-bid attendees.
10/2/25 Proposal receipt deadline. Proposals will be opened. All proposals are due at the Pitt County Buildings and Grounds office by 2pm. No late proposals will be accepted.
10/21/25 Present Recommendation to Board of Commissioners.
10/22/25 Vendors are notified of award decision.
1/1/2026 Contract term begins.
