Ensuring Fair and Accessible Elections in Pitt County
Overseeing the election process, the Board of Elections ensures every eligible county resident has the opportunity to vote in fair, transparent, and accessible elections. The board is made up of five members who serve two-year terms: four are appointed by the State Board of Elections, and the chair is appointed by the State Auditor. Working alongside the Director and staff, the board conducts national, state, county, and municipal elections, as well as special referenda, at precinct voting places across the county.
Meetings are open to the public and held at 4:30 pm on the third Wednesday of each month at the Board of Elections, unless otherwise noted.
