Every Kit Distributed is a Chance to Save a Life

“We know that putting naloxone directly into the hands of community members makes a difference. It empowers people to act in critical moments and connects more residents to the treatment and recovery services they need.” said a program coordinator.
Through opioid settlement funding, one of Pitt County’s partner organizations, XYZ expanded its community-based naloxone distribution program. With this support, the organization trained local residents, families, and service providers on how to recognize the signs of an overdose and safely administer naloxone (Narcan).
In the first year, the program distributed more than XXX naloxone kits across Pitt County. Reports from community members and first responders confirm that at least XXX overdoses were reversed using these kits. Each reversal represents a life saved and a second chance for recovery.
