Bring Holiday Cheer to Children in Foster Care
The Pitt County Department of Social Services (DSS) annual toy drive for children in the Agency’s foster care program began Monday, October 6 and will run through Monday, December 8, 2025.
DSS is accepting donations and contributions for the following items:
- New, unwrapped toys
- Gift cards
- Diapers, wipes, pull ups
- Pajamas, undergarments (t-shirts, underwear, socks)
- Hygiene items
- Electronics (head phones, blue tooth speakers, LED strip lights)
- Small blankets,
- Sippy cups, bottles
“The annual toy drive reflects the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines our community,” says Janis Gallagher, Pitt County Manager. “Each donation directly impacts the lives of children in foster care by providing comfort and joy during the holiday season. We are grateful for the continued support of residents, businesses and community partners who make this effort possible.”
