Pitt County Recognizes National Manufacturing Day and Manufacturing Week
On September 15, the Pitt County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) signed a proclamation declaring October 3 as National Manufacturing Day and October 3–10 as Manufacturing Week in Pitt County.
Manufacturing remains one of the largest industries in our community — supporting thousands of jobs, fueling innovation, and driving long-term economic growth. From advanced textiles and renewable energy to life sciences and precision manufacturing, local companies are producing goods that make an impact both locally and globally.
Through collaboration, creativity, and commitment to quality, Pitt County manufacturers continue to strengthen the regional economy and inspire future generations of skilled workers.
We proudly celebrate our manufacturers and the dedicated workforce that keeps this vital industry growing and thriving.
