The Ultimate Regift: Recycle Your Christmas Tree
Give your tree the ultimate regift this holiday season and let it keep giving long after the lights come down. Bring your natural Christmas tree to one of the County’s collection sites, where it will be recycled into mulch. The mulch created from recycled trees is reused in local landscapes and environmental projects, helping support healthy soil, reduce waste, and give back to the community. Recycling your tree helps cut holiday waste and supports sustainable practices.
Before You Drop It Off
To ensure trees can be safely and efficiently recycled, please:
- Remove all decorations, including ornaments, lights, tinsel, garland, and tree toppers
- Remove tree stands, nails, plastic ties, wire, and any other non-organic materials
- Make sure the tree is natural and cut (no artificial trees, flocking, or painted trees)
Where to Take Your Tree
Once your tree is clean and decoration-free, drop it off at any of the County’s collection sites during normal operating hours.
