NOTE: No same day permits will be issued. Once submitted, our office will notify you when the permit is ready for pickup. This process may take up to 48 hours. There is no charge for the moving permit. Manufacturers and retailers transporting mobile homes, which are part of their inventory, are not required to obtain a moving permit.
The mobile home must be listed for the current year with the Pitt County Tax Assessor. January-June, preliminary mobile home tax bill for the current year must be billed and paid
The permit is good for ONE move during the calendar year. The permit must be displayed in the window of the mobile home while it is being moved
