Each year, the County develops and adopts an annual budget that directs how public funds are used to support programs, services, and operations from July 1 through June 30. The budget ensures responsible spending and aligns community priorities with available resources. The 10-year Capital Improvement Plan is also updated annually to guide major infrastructure projects and long-term community investments.

Your Voice Matters in Shaping the County’s Future
Public participation is an essential part of the County’s annual budget process. Residents are encouraged to share their ideas, priorities, and feedback to help guide how resources are allocated and programs are funded. There are several ways to get involved throughout the year:
- Complete online or printed surveys available during the annual budget process.
- Attend open budget workshops hosted by the Board of Commissioners each May.
- Provide comments during the public hearing on the proposed budget, typically held in early June.
- Speak during the public comment period at any regular Board of Commissioners meeting.
- Send feedback or questions by mail, email, or phone at any time of the year.
