Environmental Excellence Award Winner

In February of 2004, Pitt County implemented the Environmental Excellence Award Program to recognize developers who excel in the installation and maintenance of best management practices while conducting land disturbing activities under the County's Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Ordinance.

Point System

In determining the recipient of the award, points are assigned based on preserving the environmental features of the site during the project design, installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs), and consistently maintaining the site for compliance with the Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Ordinance.
