Supporting a Healthier Future

The Health Department’s Well Child Clinic provides essential preventive care to support your child’s healthy growth and development from birth through adolescence. These visits are a cornerstone of lifelong wellness, designed to identify health concerns early, support school readiness, and ensure children meet key developmental milestones. By building strong relationships with families, we help children stay on track physically, emotionally, and socially.

Why Well Child Visits Matter

  • Provide timely vaccinations to protect against preventable diseases
  • Offer guidance on nutrition, physical activity, and sleep
  • Support parents with age-appropriate advice and resources

Clinic Services Include:

  • Immunizations: CDC-recommended and state-required vaccines for school and child care attendance
  • Vision and Hearing Screenings: Early detection of conditions that could affect learning or development
  • Developmental Screenings: Monitoring physical, cognitive, social, and emotional milestones
  • Kindergarten and Preschool Physicals: Exams required for enrollment in public or private programs
  • Health Education and Anticipatory Guidance: Age-specific advice on safety, nutrition, sleep, and behavioral health

Our Commitment to Quality Care

Services are delivered by qualified medical professionals and follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). If additional care or specialized services are needed, we provide timely referrals to trusted providers to ensure every child receives the support they deserve.

By keeping up with well child visits, families can help ensure their children are prepared to learn, grow, and thrive—building the foundation for a healthier future.
